Sportsnection introduces the “All-Stars of Cricket: Series #1” sports card set, featuring autographed cards from some of history’s best cricketers.
Coming off the sold-out success of its first “Legends of Pakistan” set, Sportsnection is announcing the launch and sale of its next set of sports trading cards, the “All-Stars of Cricket: Series #1” featuring some of the most iconic names in the history of the world’s second most followed sport.
The Sportsnection All-Stars of Cricket: Series #1 set will feature ten (10) All-Star players from the country they represent, with half of them arguably representing some of the Top 25 greatest cricketers of all-time:
1) Viv Richards (West Indies)
2) Sunil Gavaskar (India)
3) Wasim Akram (Pakistan)
4) Chris Gayle (West Indies)
5) Allan Donald (South Africa)
6) Michael Vaughan (England)
7) Zaheer Abbas (Pakistan)
8) Michael Clarke (Australia)
9) Jonty Rhodes (South Africa)
10) Shahid Afridi (Pakistan)
The limited edition All-Stars of Cricket: Series #1 sports card set will have both autographed and base cards from each of the players represented. The avid collector will love the assortment of autographed cards, base cards, parallels, specials, 1/1’s, as well as some featuring dual & triple autos.
There are two set variations for sale including:
Collectors' Edition: Boxed set includes one guaranteed pre-encased autographed card and one retail set of 6 cards (estimated retail cost: $149). Retail set of 6 cards may include additional autographed cards (as per the below).
Retail Edition: Set of 6 cards including base, parallels, specials, and a 1 in 10 opportunity to randomly pull limited edition autographed cards. (estimated retail cost/pack: $49)
The sets will be sold both online at Sportsnection.com and through local distributors, starting with card shops in the UK, Dubai, India, Australia, and the US.
While still a relatively new player in the sports trading card industry, Sportsnection was founded on the idea of “creating the connection between athletes and their fandom”. Per company founder Omar Khokhar, “I founded this company to be able to share my passion for collecting sports cards, while also teaching my own son about the fabulous game of Cricket. We are so proud of the work that went into developing this set and we are excited to share it with Cricket fandom and sports card collectors around the world.”
The All-Stars of Cricket: Series #1 set will be available for pre-order on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Sportsnection.com, with a planned initial ship date of Wednesday, April 1, 2025.
In addition, to differentiate our company from some of our sports card competitors, Sportsnection is already planning for an “All-Stars of Cricket: Series #2”, to be launched during Summer 2025.
